Nobody really likes tough feedback — least of all high-powered executives with massive egos.
When someone criticizes these types of leaders they’re often met with scathing looks and assumptions of stupidity. 😜
Now imagine that these high-powered execs are technical leaders like CTOs and VP’s of Engineering.
Guess what? These tech leaders dislike tough feedback even more!
Maybe it’s because they think they’re smarter than everyone else. Or, maybe they’re just really stressed out from hitting tight deadlines and keeping the site up and running 😂.
Whatever the reason is, most CTOs & tech leaders don’t just dislike criticisms, they HATE it!
The only problem with that mindset is that criticism is actually a huge part of what gets execs into the Top 1% of performers. 💯
